Find your NAICS and PSC codes

Buyers file work under a code, and every NAICS code carries a size standard that decides whether you count as small. Search by the work you do.

Try:

How to use them

NAICS describes the work, and it is the code a federal buyer assigns to decide which size standard applies. PSC describes what is being bought; every federal notice carries one, and its first letter or two select a whole trade. A tight saved search is usually two or three of each plus a set-aside.

State and city boards mostly use other systems — NIGP, UNSPSC or their own categories — so a NAICS search alone misses them. Pair your codes with a few keywords.

NAICS 2022 titles from the U.S. Census Bureau. Size standards from the SBA Table of Size Standards, effective March 17, 2023 — check sba.gov for the current table. PSC names from the April 2025 PSC Manual.
